Designed with a relaxed, regular fit, comfortable Raglan sleeves, and lightweight, breathable fabric, finished with an odour control treatment. Offering you a layer of protection on cooler days when a tee won’t cut it, or hotter days when covering up from the sun is key, it’s ideal for multi-day adventures.

Built with ultralight Motiv™ Aero fabric, the Sonic LS Zip is fast-drying, quick-wicking and highly breathable. With its subtle mesh structure, the fabric wicks moisture away from the skin keeping you dry on those challenging climbs. It has stretch thumb loops, and a mid-height collar ideal for covering up the back of the neck, and a deep, half-zip, for dumping heat quickly when the incline steepens.

Our Verdict

Built with fast-moving , hard working mountain runners and hikers in mind, this base layer is made from Rabs Motiv aero fabric, which is highly breathable but amazing at wicking sweat away from the body, it is able to accomplish this through the use of “bulk yarn” which has a much greater surface area than a traditional yarn, bulk yarn limits absorbency while improving ventilation.

The 1/2 zip also helps when needing to ventilate heat quickly, and has a lock zip so it won’t move up and down while running. Overall, this is a fantastic base layer, it can protect you from the hot sun in extreme heat, but the sleeves can easily be rolled up to get some sun on your arms., it works hard to cool you and protect you. A short sleeve and long sleeve without the zip are also available
