A close fitting and fast drying lightweight fleece layer for hiking and mountaineering. With performance stretch fleece fabric and a slimline Active fit the Lumiko is a perfect lightweight layer for fast moving climbing and mountaineering. Drying quickly after a lung burning approach it works equally well under a shell high on the route.

Our Verdict

Mountain Equipment’s Womens Lumiko Zip-T uses a lightweight fleece with an internal ribbed effect to trap more warm air than regular fleece making these types of fabrics perform better at similar weights. The ability of this ribbed fleece makes temperature regulation much more effective in both warm and cold conditions. It also does a great job in wicking sweat more effectively than standard fleece fabrics too.

This is a great next-to-skin running layer for when your long-sleeve tees are not providing enough warmth – also ideal as a cold weather, trekking baselayer and spring/summer midlayer. The zip on this tee version is ideal for venting and dumping heat when things warm up.
