Our Verdict

Mountain Equipment’s Womens Comici Shorts use the same tough softshell fabric as the super popular pants. The Exolite 125 fabric has really good stretch to provide a comfy fit. This stretch means that they are versatile enough for climbing, a bit of trail running and general hiking. The women’s specific fit is an active cut meaning it’s a bit tighter than usual shorts and suits active pursuits. The integrated belt is easy-to-use and is a good addition to the shorts.

The 3 pockets are all a useful size and they all have zip closures, something you don’t always get on trekking shorts. The weight, stretch, comfort and durability are really well balanced resulting is a great pair of shorts for a range of conditions and activities.
