The Arrow is a highly versatile soft shell that provides protection from the elements and a combination of warmth and breathability. Exceptionally comfortable, stretchy and great for a wide range of outdoor activities.

Our Verdict

Mountain Equipment’s Arrow Jacket uses a combination of durable soft shell material with a comfortable lofted inner to provide breathable warmth and protection. This jacket has a classic soft shell feel to it but the inner design certainly steps away from that. With a raised pattern the inner provides a similar effect to grid fleeces by trapping air and improving temperature regulation in both warm and cold conditions, which is further enhanced with the full zip on this jacket version. It also does a great job of wicking moisture and keeping you comfortable for longer.

For such a lightweight jacket it certainly works well. The wind resistance is really good and it has coped with a range of activities in differing conditions. With the soft, comfortable inner it works well over a thin base layer but can easily work as an outer with thin insulating layers underneath. This is a versatile piece of kit that looks great too.
