Mountain Equipments Nava LS Zip T is a Synthetic technical base layer that offers a highly breathable and warm layer that is also odour resistant. 

Mountain Equipment says:

A light and fast drying long sleeve Zip-T for running jagged skylines and hiking remote valleys. This versatile, lightweight and highly wicking Zip-T can be worn alone with sleeves pushed up during rapid ascents but is equally suitable as a base layer whilst running through more severe weather. HeiQ technology neutralises odours and a deep centre front zip offers extra ventilation.

Our Verdict

The use of Synthetic materials as opposed to the traditional Merino wool is a move towards a greener more sustainable product. The Nava LS Zip T is made from 87% Recycled bluesign® approved Polyester. It is highly breathable and feels great next to bare skin.

Another great feature that is a massive help to anyone who has ever had to wear base layers for a prolonged period of time, HeiQ Fresh odour neutralising technology, which allows you to wear this for several days without having to put up with the normal smells associated with base layers. 

I’m a big fan of a zip on a base layer, as it allows heat to quickly be displaced.
