These superlight, stretchy shorts are perfect for hot conditions and running through mixed summer weather. With an unrestrictive fit and fast drying fabric they’re ideal for long ascents into high cirques and flying across endless ridgelines. Concealed, zipped pockets secure essentials and a wide waistband is comfortable wet or dry.

Mountain Equipment’s Masino Shorts are lightweight and packable so perfect for packing for multi-day adventures where you might experience mixed conditions.

The fabric is lightweight with plenty of stretch making them ideal for a wide range of activities. The waist is elasticated with an internal drawcord.

They feature dual zipped and pockets which is rare on such a light short. We prefer zipped pockets for hiking and trekking to keep things like keys or phones safe. There is also a small non-zipped internal pocket at the back although I’m not sure what you’d put in it if backpacking.

The Masino shorts are light enough to use for running too, making them an excellent versatile addition to your pack or wardrobe.
