The Lock-On’s are a great pair of sandals for warm weather. Lightweight, durable and versatile, they can be worn with or without socks for whatever you prefer. 

Montbell says

The Lock-On Sandals can be worn while wearing socks. This model also features a back strap to provide increased mobility. The straps that come in direct contact with the foot are made with materials gentle on the skin.

Our Verdict

Montbell’s Lock-On Sandals are made with a durable, lightweight foam. They are firm and comfortable on mixed terrain, from the beach to the campsite. Although they’re not the most flexible for stashing in your pack they are light enough and provide enough comfort to warrant a place in any pack. More padding and a more secure fit than normal sandals, these are a great piece of kit.

The Lock-On’s have the added security of the strap around the back of the heel so they are a bit easier to move around in without worrying about them slipping or falling off. They are great for taking as a little bit of luxury to wear around camp at the end of a long day. The idea of being able to wear socks allows you to keep your feet warm in these situations too – rather than it simply being a fashion statement!
